US Zeppelin Issues
About US Zeppelin Issues
A set of three airmail stamps issued for the Graf Zeppelin flight to South America and back. The 65 cent, 1 dollar 30 cent, and 2 dollar 60 cent values featured the zeppelin. The high face values during the Depression meant few were sold. Over 1 million dollars worth were destroyed when they were returned to the post office. Complete sets of the Zeppelin issue are worth thousands of dollars. The 1933 Chicago Century of Progress zeppelin issue is also collectible.
