About US Statehood Series

A series of 50 stamps honoring each US state. Issued in the order states joined the union. Each stamp features a distinctive state symbol or landmark. Delaware was first in 1787 and the series began with the Delaware stamp. The series was completed over a 15 year period. The statehood stamps are collected as a complete set. Each design was reviewed by the state being honored, creating regionally meaningful designs.
