About US Pan-American

A set of 6 stamps for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo. Featured modern transportation including a fast ocean liner, an express train, an automobile, and a bridge. The 1 cent, 2 cent, and 4 cent values exist with inverted centers. Only about 200 inverts are known across all three values. The Pan-American inverts are among the most sought after US error stamps. The exposition is also remembered for the assassination of President McKinley.
