US Legends of the West
About US Legends of the West
A sheet of 20 stamps featuring legends of the American West including Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley, Wyatt Earp, and Geronimo. The stamp set included Bill Pickett, a famous rodeo performer. The Pickett stamp was recalled when it was discovered that the wrong person was pictured, showing his brother instead. Corrected stamps were issued, making the error version valuable. The Legends of the West sheet is one of the most collected modern US stamp sets.
