About US James Dean
A Legends of Hollywood stamp honoring James Dean, who died in a car crash at age 24 in 1955. Dean starred in only three films: East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause, and Giant. His brief career made him an enduring symbol of youthful rebellion. The stamp featured a portrait based on a Dean family photograph. The James Dean stamp demonstrated the commercial appeal of pop culture figures on stamps.
