About US Bugs Bunny
A 32 cent stamp featuring Bugs Bunny, the first cartoon character on a US stamp. The stamp was enormously popular, especially with children. The success of the Bugs Bunny stamp led to a Looney Tunes series including Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, and Wile E. Coyote. The cartoon stamp series introduced stamp collecting to a new generation. The stamps were sold through post offices and Warner Bros. retail stores.
