About US 1922 Series

A definitive series featuring portraits of presidents and other notable Americans. The designs were simpler than the 1902 series. The 1922 series included the first US stamp with a rotary press printing. The series introduced new denominations including the 25 cent Niagara Falls stamp. The 5 cent Theodore Roosevelt was the most commonly used stamp of the 1920s. The series ran until the Presidential series replaced it in 1938.
