The definitive stamps of King George VI, issued after his coronation in 1937. Featured three quarter profile portrait by Edmund Dulac, Humphrey Paget, and others. The George VI series included definitive and commemorative issues throughout World War II and postwar reconstruction. The 1948 Olympic Games and 1951 Festival of Britain stamps are notable commemoratives. The series ended with his death in 1952.
