A stamp commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Featured photographs by Dorothy Wilding. Only one value, 2 shilling 6 pence, was issued. The Coronation stamp was the first British commemorative stamp since 1948. Over 400 million were printed, including special sheets for the British Commonwealth. The design by Edgar A. Knapp featured the queen in ceremonial robes with regalia.
