Treskilling Yellow
About Treskilling Yellow
A Swedish stamp that should have been green but was printed in yellow due to a color error. Only one copy exists. The 3 skilling banco stamp was accidentally printed using the color intended for the 8 skilling denomination. Discovered by a schoolboy in 1885. It has sold multiple times for over 2 million dollars. The stamp has been called the most valuable object per gram in the world, worth roughly 30 million dollars per ounce. Its current owner is unknown after a 2013 auction.
